In her role, La’Toreya oversees the development and execution of Rooted Mentoring’s programs, ensuring they provide mentorship, academic support, and spiritual growth. She works closely with her team, community partners, and supporters to create opportunities for the young women they serve. As the leader of the organization, she is responsible for setting its strategic direction and ensuring its growth. La’Toreya is dedicated to cultivating a supportive environment where young women can thrive—emotionally, academically, and spiritually. Her ultimate goal is to help these young women develop the confidence, skills, and faith they need to face life’s challenges and achieve their fullest potential.

Program Coordinator

Mariah’s role as both a Mentor and Program Coordinator is essential to the success of Rooted Mentoring. As a Mentor with Rooted Mentoring, Kimberly Carroll plays a vital role in guiding and empowering young women within the program. Kimberly is deeply committed to supporting the emotional, academic, and spiritual growth of her mentees. Her approach is rooted in building strong, trusting relationships, helping the young women she mentors navigate challenges, set goals, and realize their potential.

Tempress Leavy

Mentor support specialist

Tempress Leavy is dedicated to helping young girls build a healthy, purpose-filled life by bridging the gap in communication and providing essential tools for personal and spiritual growth. As a Mentor and Mentor Support Specialist, Tempress focuses on teaching self-care, self-worth, and financial independence. She creates a safe and supportive space for mentees to confide in and encourages growth through the love and teachings of God. With a background in healthcare management and hands-on experience in credit repair and business startups, Tempress brings a unique perspective to the program. She helps mentees develop mental and physical stability, financial literacy, and practical life skills. She believes that self-development and spiritual growth go hand in hand, and that empowering young women with these tools will help them break cycles of financial instability and thrive in their communities. Tempress sees mentorship as a reciprocal relationship, where both the mentor and mentee learn and grow together. She is passionate about building strong, effective communication skills and opening her mentees to new ideas and practices, preparing them to be well-rounded, confident, and impactful individuals in their families and communities.

Aurelia Cisneros
